Making Solar Simple
When our president and operations manager founded Midwest Solar Solutions, they did so with the intent of developing an all-in-one business with the capability of solving customers’ complete solar needs end-to-end.
Years later as we’ve grown our staff and expanded our geographical footprint, our approach hasn’t changed. We take care of all facets of the solar process throughout the lifecycle. Which means we’ll still be here for you years down the road if a wire malfunctions, a battery needs replacing or an inverter requires troubleshooting.
Your Go-to Partner for Solar Solutions
The reality is solar is a significant financial expense and a variety of factors go into determining whether a solar system is the right investment for your house. These factors only become further complicated when companies use several parties throughout their process. That can include the following:
- Salespeople
- Electricians
- Laborers
- Lenders
- Engineers
At Midwest Solar, we do everything in-house to simplify the solar process. Our professional installation, service and office teams work hand-in-hand daily to provide excellent customer service and end products. We are your point of contact from Day 1 to when you receive an incentive check 12 to 18 months later. As one of our several five-star Google reviewers comments:
“The experience from the beginning with Midwest has been terrific. Being such a large purchase, I was hesitant to make the commitment but Cory eased my concerns by answering all of my questions. I was comforted that Cory came to my house for a face-to-face initial consultation as opposed to the lengthy Zoom calls that other companies use.”

Our Customer-
Centric Step-by-Step Process
When you reach out to Midwest Solar Solutions for a risk-free quote, you’ll provide our team with a bit of information about you and your electric utility bill so we know your usage history. From there, here is what the process looks like broken down by steps so you know what to expect from our team:
1.
Our expert crew uses high-quality software to design your potential system, incorporating any info you provide and what you envision the end product may look like. We show you the ideal locations on your property to place panels for maximum efficiency and sun exposure. We consult with you and listen to your feedback to ensure you’re comfortable with the direction of the potential project. We talk through project costs and make sure your budget parameters are met.
2.
One of our team members — who you can better get to know here — completes a comprehensive in-person site survey to ensure our proposed design adequately works for your property. We verify there aren’t any code violations and answer any questions you may have face-to-face. Our personable and professional approach to communicating with our customers has helped us receive numerous word-of-mouth referrals, strong online reviews, and an A+ BBB rating.
3.
Once you’re comfortable with all facets of the proposed solar project, you’ll sign our customer agreement. You will either get approved for financing or have a scheduling deposit put down. We then place you on our calendar for solar system installation. We are typically booked out for at least two to four months, though lead times vary. We provide updates via email every two weeks once the customer agreement is signed so you’re in the loop regarding your impending install date. Midwest Solar obtains utility and permit approvals during this phase as well.
4.
Our installation team comes to your house to build the solar system. Our crew completes wiring and mounting equipment first before proceeding to the positioning and placement of solar panels. Installation can take anywhere from three days to one week depending on the size of the installation. We clean up everything at the end of this phase to make sure your property is looking great.
5.
Post-install, the inspection process occurs. Two inspections need to be completed. One by the local authority having jurisdiction, or AHJ. And one by the electric utility company you use. The inspection phase typically takes anywhere from three to five weeks to complete.
6.
When your system passes both inspections, Midwest Solar returns to your home to set up the monitoring app for you. We guide you through its features and make sure you understand its capabilities. The app shows you — in real-time — the output of each solar panel, shade data, electricity consumption, and array layout. At any point, if you have questions about the application, you can reach out to us for further technical assistance. We collect the final payment at this point.
7.
With your solar system now turned on, we ensure it’s working optimally. We have a dedicated service department that monitors our customers’ solar arrays regularly to verify they’re functioning properly. If our team notices a hiccup with your output, we come out and fix it free of charge. You can expect to receive your investment tax credit the following year and your state incentive check 12 to 18 months after your system is powered on.
